I don’t know what to do

May 7, 2008 by sweetmiseria1

Just thought I would say… I am really sad. I worked hard to upgrade the galleries for all my sites and, after thinking everything was okay, discovered Keira Forever had been suspended and I missed the deadline to get it unsuspended by a day. Now it’s deleted and it won’t be hosted at FS anymore. It’s 9:30 and I am back from a long day at work… so I’m a little… not mad, exactly. It’s kinda my fault- so maybe mad at myself and everybody in general. But I remember upgrading that stupid gallery because the thumbnails were being stupid after the upgrade (maybe I did it wrong?). My other sites are okay, though… I think. So… yeah… five years of running that site this month. Seven since it was first opened. I know I had been neglecting it, but I really wanted to fix it up this summer and I really don’t think I will find as good a host. I feel so discouraged that I want to close a few more sites down out of fear I’ll do something stupid and get my favorite ones deleted. Sounds a bit stupid, but anyway. Rant over.

Finally, an update

April 13, 2008 by sweetmiseria1

First of all, if Natalie is going to be in a re-make of Wuthering Heights (which I was hoping Keira would do as that had been rumored), I will be really, really excited. Love of historical films aside, I like the Bronte sisters.

I have been completely distracted trying to build a media page for Lucy Griffiths Online. My FTP is not letting me in right now, which is annoying me. I have been busy making clips and downloading clips and trying to upload them so that they look presentable. I hope it will fair better than my other clips page, which was fine, but not as exciting!

Regarding my other fansites. I have not heard anything on Amelia Warner. Lucy has no new films. Bonnie has Harry Potter 6 in November (a long wait!). Romola is playing Jackie Kennedy. I have probably forgotten someone =\ Henry? Yeah! I finally get to see a new episode of The Tudors this weekend or Monday.

Just exams to go and I am done with school!

I have no clue if Canadians are the only ones with a special place in their hearts for Anne of Green Gables. I have been obsessed with the movies and book for a month now, ever since we read it in class. I grew up with the first two films and I read a few of the books. Anne and Gilbert are the best couple ever (tied with Harry and Ginny?). Anyways, I still need to finish the last miniseries.

On a finaly note… if you requested screencaps, please be aware that I will probably start fresh again in the summer. I have been horrible with fulfilling reqests. And whenever I do, the site closes or my caps are not used or whatever. So, I apologize! I am busy at the moment, anyway, and am having trouble finding time to get pictures for my own sites. Check back soon!

Pssssst!

Laura (and, er, whoever else?)- I shall be a way a bit this next week and a half. I am going on a couple little trips and have assignments coming up so sites might not be updated as well as I would like. I shall try my best, though! I pretty much adore Adoring Natalie Portman.

http://www.costumersguide.com/reused_tudor.shtml < Thought of you, Laura!

Still have not seen The Other Boleyn Girl. Two years of waiting and it has not come to my local theater. Hopefully I can go to a different one and see it there soon. I really don’t give an “at’s rass” if Anne Boleyn’s dress is not historicallt accurate. I actually had to look up the different between a gabed hood, French hood, etc. I don’t care if the accents are off. I just think it’ll do better justice to the novel than the BBC version.

However, regarding historical accuracy… 10, 000 B.C. really sucked. Accuracies aside, it just wasn’t a good movie.

There’s going to be a new BBC show on Merlin/King Arthur. I suppose that’ll do for destroying Robin Hood.

I have a hurricane in me

February 25, 2008 by sweetmiseria1

Hey, guys. First of all, two pet peeves of mine that I really want to rant about at the risk of getting people mad at me. Nothing personal :)

Concerning website galleries- it really annoys me when I visit a gallery for, say, Alexis Bledel (no, I have never felt this way about a Alexis site- it is just an example!). There are 1000’s of caps from movies… but the MAJORITY of the caps are of other parts of the movie. I hate it when it is obvious that the person put the movie through an automatic capper. I love auto cappers, I use mine all the time for my caps site (not for any of my actors sites, though- usually). It doesn’t matter how much hard work the webmaster put into the site (the site can be AMAZING), it just takes away some of that. A few sometimes sneak in, but that’s fine. Sure, you have the BIGGEST [insert actress name here] gallery around! But many of your photos are either paparazzi candids (which I do not support) or auto caps of a blurry scenic part of a movie.

I lied. My other rant was uselesss.

Atonement did not win Best Picture. Honestly, though, I have not seen 99% of the movies, or somewhere around that.

Atonement is showing this Friday. This always happens- I give up on something and within a week it happens. I already watched it on my computer. I think I will watch it again!

Cavill Source is being annoying. I just need a proper title graphic! Gah, I hate my graphics skills sometimes a lot of the time.

R.I.P. H.L.

[10:56 pm]

I just finished The Quiet. I like Camilla Belle. I suddenly remembered her from Jurassic Park and the surfing Disney movie. As for Elisha Cuthbert… I have no seen her in a non-cameo since Popular Mechanics For Kids! Yikes. I was younger then… and so was she. Yay pour Canadians?

Lost starts Wednesday.

I am the comfortable secure

January 22, 2008 by sweetmiseria1

First of all, I have become even fonder of the ever-fabulous girl band BarlowGirl. They have a CD called How Can We Keep Silent? which is playing in my CD player right now. Even though I am not there.

I should say school is keeping me busy. It is, in a way. So is work. I am trying desperately to get something done on my upcoming site, Cavill Source, but there are barely any proper pictures of this guy that are, I’unno, layout-able? I tried WordPress, but that is giving me a headache. I suppose WP is easy once you get it. I am perfectly happy with its simplicity on a blog.

I need to get info together on some of my sites- co-webby stuff. Yeppers.

Rachel and Romola doing new movies! Yaaay.

I saw Enchanted a couple days ago and it was awesome. I actually said When you sing a happing working song while cleaning the bathroom today! Someone was supposed to bring a CD with Atonement on it since the theaters here are not showing it, but that was forgotten and I was so disappointed. Tomorrow maybe.

Various updates.

January 11, 2008 by sweetmiseria1

Miss Rachel Hurd-Wood is to play a character in a new film, announced officially today- less than a week after I closed the site. Well, that was silly on my part. Two years of waiting and I believed the rumour she had quit acting for good. This does not seem to be a rumour this time because filming will start next month. I am attempting, ever so meekly, to possibly get my site back. I doubt Gertie can restore something deleted, but I did save the site and would gladly re-upload it =\ I feel really stupid for closing a site and now wanting it back since I probably sound really annoying. *Crosses fingers*

Things will be quiet with Lucy Griffiths for a while unless she is cast in a new film. Robin Hood will air in other countries, including the U.S. soon, which is good. I still cannot wait to get RH Season 1…

I also saved enough chash and bought The Tudors S1. I sold some books at the university, pulled 20$ from my piggy bank (sheepy bank?), and recieved money in the mail the day I decided to go and get it. I have started capping Henry Cavill in the series. I hope to open the site before all the S2 hype gets… exciting. I also have Count of Monte Cristo and Tristan + Isolde on DVD!

I seriously need a co-web with Keira Forever. My last attempt failed.

I have some more Natalie Portman caps to get uploaded. I had to do it on my laptop because this computer would not read the Garden State DVD, which was annoying.

Whatever else?

Best thing ever

Basically, Robin Hood opening credits set to the theme of The Tudors.

I have now called my piggy bank my Tudors fund. Because my interest in Tudor history and Henry Cavill (and, quite honestly, Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn) has sparked the urge to buy the boxset. But I just bought Robin Hood S1 online (it is official that Lucy will not be coming back- her agent said so) and need to give the bank account a rest. But I highly doubt I have 54$ worth of coins in that orange ceramic sheep.

1 site down, 1 site saved, 1 site pending.

Fansite goodbyes?

January 5, 2008 by sweetmiseria1

I absolutely hate doing this. Very rarely, I think, so I ever give away fansites, let alone close them. But I really need to if I want to focus on the ones I have or possibly start new ones. I always try to be dedicated to my sites, and I hate it when other people let their sites go as well. Anyways… there are three I need to sort out and possibly let go. One in the maybe-absolutelynot place. The others I love to bits at the moment… I hope this gets sorted out soon because I want to start a new fansite for someone, and can’t if I have too much already.

To affiliates who might read this… I asked Gertie to close Rachel Hurd-Wood Web. I loved the site, but my hopes for Rachel doing new things have come to nothing so far and all her other, better sites, are facing the same gah-there-are-no-updates plight. I saved the images, though, just in case I want to start it up again.

Anybody want to adopt Amelia Warner Web? It pains me that I should give it away. Like Rachel, there is little about her to update on.

I am sorting things out on Miss Blunt right now.

Spoiler warning?

December 31, 2007 by sweetmiseria1

For Robin Hood, that is.

When I read someone was going to die, I immediately thought Guy (no!) or Much or anyone else but Marian. I was in tears while watching the season finale last night. The death scene was brutal, too. I hope Lucy will be back for season 3. The show did horribly by writing out two of my favorite characters (Marian and Will). But I do hope they are being smart on this one and will bring everyone back… in spite of the “one of the main characters bites the dust for good” comment. They killed Marian last season and brought her back at the very end. This time, maybe they are going for a cliffhanger. But I think the repetive Marian gets hurt by Guy and dies (but comes back to life) season end trend might be a little silly. Maybe Lucy wants to do other things? I was just thinking that season 2 got a whole lot better.. and now they can go nowhere but downhill if they keep these characters (two central characters from the legend!) off the show for good. I will get over it eventually… while desperately searching for return clues.

Why leave Will and Djaq in the Holy Land with dead Marian if they were not all supposed to come together somehow?

Right now I am downloading the show so I can screencap it! The end aside, the episodes were awesome. Last time I downloaded an episode from somewhere different, the quality was not very good. So, I hope I won’t be disappointed with a bad torrent.
